This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in England by Copeland between 1851 and 1885. The saucer has a diameter of 5 ¼ inches and the cup is 2 ¾ inches high. The set is made of fine white bone china that is molded with embossed patterns. The border is light peach in color.There are garlands and swags of miniature flowers in vivid colors encircling each piece. The embossed areas are gilded over to enhance the gold. You can feel the texture with your fingertips. A gilded medallion decorates the well of the saucer. The rims and handle are trimmed with gold. This is a porcelain confection from Victorian times.
