Antique Royal Worcester Parian Ware Porcelain MRS HADLEY'S Hand Vase c. Rare antique 19th century Royal Worcester parian hand vase designed by James Hadley. This vase was and allegedly modelled on the hand of Hadley's wife. Her hand is supporting a Grecian urn. The interior of the vase has a glazed finish. Marked with an impressed crown and wheel mark for Royal Worcester to the base and a an English diamond registration mark with an N at the top for 1864. This is believed to be an early example of this rare and hard to find vase with later colored examples more common. Condition: In excellent preowned condition. No chips, cracks or repairs. If there are any other minor flaws, they are natural from the making. Comes as found and as seen. Parian ware is a type of biscuit porcelain that was made to imitate carved marble. It was also contemporaneously referred to as Statuary Porcelain by Copeland. Please view all pictures and they are the main part of the description.
