Antique Victorian Real Jadeite Jade Pendant Carved in the form of a Pointed finger Hand and forearm. These carved hands were a popular pendant or charm used in the Victorian era and depending upon the way they pointed, they had different messages.I'm not quite sure whether this has the index finger pointing or not. It is set within a 10ct gold tested setting. There are only two types of real Jade - Jadeite (Imperial Jade, a bright green emerald colour prized by the Chinese is a Jadeite) and Nephrite these are not to be confused with false Jade like Bowenite, dyed Chalcedony, Serpentine or other immitators. Size: just under 1 1/2" (3.5cm) Long x 3/8th" (9mm) thick Weight: 4.2g Marks: non tests as 10ct Date: C. 1880's Condition: Excellent condition - no chips to the Jade.
