This substantially sized, walnut drop-well dresser is classic Eastlake Victorian, and it was most likely produced sometime in the late 19th to very early 20th century. Ornate and unusually-carved fruit drawer pulls, a high straight back, and elegantly carved mouldings along the sides and base of the dresser are just a few of the traditional elements of this antique. There are four main drawers, graduating in size from smallest to largest, and a pair of knick-knack drawers on the top of the piece. All drawers sport dovetail joinery and possess functional locks (the knick-knack drawers do not have locks), though there is currently no key. There are signs that marble insets had been attached to the top of these drawers but they have since been separated from the dresser, and lost.
