ORNATE VICTORIAN 19TH C HAND MADE POINT DE GAZE LACE INSERT / COLLAR FOR DRESS. DATING TO THE VICTORIAN 19TH CENTURY. FASHIONED OF HAND MADE POINT DE GAZE LACE. PATTERNS OF LARGE AND SMALL FLORALS WITH FINE BUTTON HOLE DETAILS WITH A WONDERFUL SCALLOPED EDGING. EACH END IS IDENTICAL, COULD BE WORN AS A LARGE COLLAR OR CUT INTO TWO COLLARS OR COULD BE INSERTED INTO A CLOTH. THERE ARE THREE PINHEAD BRIDE BREAKS BUT OTHERWISE EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION WITH NO WEAKNESS OR STAINING. WIDEST WIDTH AT EACH END: 9 1/2 INCHES.
