QUALITY ANTIQUE GOLD HAND CRAFTED MICRO MOSAIC SPANIEL DOG BROOCH c1860. An antique micro mosaic, finely hand crafted to depict a spaniel-type dog of the period, set in a polished black glass surround, with a 9 carat gold mount (tests thereabouts, possibly cased in parts) for wear as a brooch. Very collectable & highly wearable too! CONDITION : All original and generally very good.

Slight signs of wear commensurate with age and use. A few nicks to glass, some small areas of tesserae loss - please see pictures. Illegible inscription to back of glass. DIMENSIONS : 47 x 37 mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.
