Century Chinese wedding marriage cabinet, glorious original hand painted scenes are period aged lacquered finish. A very good looking and well made piece, its highly decorative and very functional offering huge amounts of storage space. This is one of the larger pieces I have seen, its pretty much the size of a modern wardrobe, other simpler models are often 40cm or so shorter. This piece looks like art furniture from all angles, the timber is so beautifully aged and hand sawn that in its self it is attractive. We have cleaned waxed and polished it, the finish is sublime for the period, there is age related cracking in the lacquer however it 100% stable.
