Set of antique Bohemian hand painted Oyster Plates. M embossed in cartouche on the back, made by Schwab Brothers, Merkelsgrun, Austria. Plates feather five wells for oysters, all with hand painted details of red billed cranes/egrets/stork birds, and a langostine/lobster being ridden by a Gnome. There is a smaller shell shaped well for holding horseradish, with a landscape design, and two very small wells for lemon wedges; as shown. 2 of the oyster wells are finished with a pink spongeware design common to the period; as shown. All ten plates are in very nice condition with no chips, cracks or restoration.

There is wear to the gold trim on the edges; as shown. Plates are 7 5/8 square.
