The painted work is exceptional and meticulous, far exceeding the details of the features. You can even notice in Venus's hair the finest strokes made with gold paint; it is also showing initial signature of the artist. The miniature is reliably protected by a thin but durable antique "watch glass crystal" and is in excellent condition despite its great age. This magical little jewel came from the estate's private jewelry collection.
Fitted at the reverse with a horizontal hinged pin bar and a mechanical lock to wear as a brooch and an oval bail to wear in a chain or a necklace as a pendant. Markings: stamped twice 800 (verified solid sterling silver).
The Chain is not included, used for demonstration only. Incredibly well-preserved condition indicative of antique age, with beautiful antique patina to the silver. Pictured as received from a local estate. Old pieces of jewelry are no longer produced, and their number will only decrease day by day, making it more and more difficult to find.
Also, because they are becoming rarer, they become unique accessories.
