ANTIQUE 1900's LARGE HAND CARVED BEAD INLAID ROSEWOOD CHOKER NECKLACE 16 WOW

This is a most wonderful antique, hand carved bead inlaid with rosewood. Incredible in workmanship victorian choker necklace. We did not clean it due to the inlaid wood. Stored away for years and not enjoyed. The screw barrel clasp works very nicely.

It looks almost like it is strung on sinew, or silk maybe. Hand braided is the under stringing. There is one inclusion in the carving of the beads.

Seen on the second bead from the clasp and shown in the photos. Incredibly it is a heart. The beads are incredible in size. This necklace measures 16" in length and 9/16" in diameter of the beads. There is a touch of carmelizing here and there but not from human oil, more so just from age.
