Antique Chocolatier Brooch OOAK Ornate Lace Cocoa Tree Molinillo 900 Nt Sterling. We offer for sale this lovely rare ornate antique / vintage 900 silver chocolatier brooch.

This elaborate silver cut work lace and hand engraved brooch depicts the ingredients and traditional Latin or South American tools used to make chocolate. At is center is the Cocoa Tree and molinillo. In its lace boarder are a bowl of cocoa beans, a molinillo, a pot for milk and jars of sugar and emulsifiers.

It closes with a rollover safety clasp. Clasp and hinge date to 30s - 40's, or about. The floral engraving and lace cut work designs are intricate, detailed, and masterfully done.

It appears to be a fully handmade one of a kind brooch. See photos for full description. Condition: excellent vintage condition, mint or near. It measures approximately 1.75 inches in diameter. It is marked 900, which is "coin silver", rather than 925 for sterling.

900 was the silver standard for jewelry historically in many nations. Signed- signature / marks illegible. It appears to be signed but the signature and other writing is difficult to read.
