Antique Ladies Hand Fan Embroidered Silk in Gilded Gesso Frame

Beautiful framed antique ladies hand fan with embroidered silk mount. The silk mount is a pale ivory color with silk embroidered butterflies and cricket that dance among a branch of roses. The sticks, ribs and guards are in beautiful antique condition. There is a hand carved rose cameo on the tip end of the bone guard. The fan is mounted with filament onto a pale blue moire silk that lines the interior of the gilded gesso wood frame wth a bow & rose topper. There is a hand knotted tassel that is attached to the rivet loop and is displayed under the head of the fan. Fan measures approximately 9" H x 17" L (displayed open). Guard is aproximately 9-1/4 L. The framed fan measures 15-1/2" H x 24" W x 2-3/4 D. Fan has tears and discoloration (spotting/foxing) in in the silk areas as documented in the listing photos.
