This porcelain brooch is hand painted with a boy on the front. The brooch or pendant is in a yellow metal frame which is likely brass but could be gold plate.
The brooch has a pin and a fastener at the top so it can either be worn as a pendant or a brooch. The pieces is 2 7/16 inches long and 2 inches wide. The porcelain piece has an impressed F or E on the back and the numbers 22 under it. The pin attached to the frame has a patent number on it which dates it to 1937. We believe the pin may be a replacement. We believe the piece dates circa 1890. The frame has a repair on one side.There is no damage to the porcelain.
