We are currently accepting offers for this lovely antique Victorian hand painted miniature portrait of a mother and child set in a rolled gold setting circa 1880. Rolled golled is thicker and has more layers than modern gold filling and plating. The mother holds what appears to be a fishing pole. It measures approximately 2 inches in length.

It is rare to find a 130+ year old brooch in such remarkable condition. It closes with an old fashion C clasp. Its painting is in good condition with colors are vibrant. Under magnification you can see some tiny scratches consistent with age and use.

It is in good vintage condition, however it needs to have the pin replaced to be worn. It will make a lovely addition to your jewelry wardrobe. See photos for full description.
