Antique Samuel Alcock dessert service. Superbly hand painted c. 1855
Superbly hand painted part dessert service by Samuel Alcock dating to mid 19th century. The set consists of 2 single handled, round comport dishes and 6 dessert plates. Each piece is painted with an individual floral display and no two are alike. The plates measure just over 9" across and the compost is 9 1/2" across to the outside of the handle.

One plate is cracked and there has been some reconstruction to the base of one of the comports. All other pieces are sound with no chips, cracks or crazing. There is some wear to the gilt in places, so please do study the photographs. I would be more than happy to supply extra photographs if required. At this present time, costs are fluctuating almost daily and it could well be that I can get a better rate than I have quoted.
