Antique Victorian Cameo Miniature Portrait Brooch Hand Painted Porcelain Pin

This cameo is beautiful - hand painted with gold edging. I believe the backing is gold as well but it is unmarked and I have not tested it. It has a layer of dark grime on it that I scrubbed lightly with dish detergent but I worried about damaging the art on the front so I left it alone. The overall size is approximately 1 x. This was believed to have been done in the mid to late 1800's based on the style.
