One of the most appealing hand painted portrait miniatures ever, this young boy, circa Victorian and likely English, is so expressive, a child's innocence and yet such personality in those eyes and that slightly upturned smile.

An opulent lace-collar and blue jacket only adds to this one's elegance. Signed by the artist, M. Puisov, I believe but very difficult to read.

You can try to make it out, found at about the 8 0'clock position on the wafer, captured in the scan of the painting. I'd guess he's about 5-6 years old, and, sadly, we have no information whatsoever about who this beautiful little boy is. I'll be sure it's reset and holding in place so you don't see the edge of the wafer as in our photos.

It does fill the aperture. Frame is 3.25" x 2.5" oval and is heavy and a full. 5 thick, easel stand still in place. Very good to excellent condition throughout, no damage to the painting nor cover glass, nor frame.
