Antique Victorian Portrait Brooch Cameo Hand Painted Gold Pin. We offer for sale this lovely antique Victorian hand painted miniature portrait brooch depicting a young woman wearing a plaid tartan in a rolled gold mounting. The painting is well done and in good vintage condition with minor wear, some tiny surface scratches, honest wear consistent with age and use. It measures approximately 1 3/4" x 1 1/2".

It's closes with a rollover safety clasp. The pin and hinge are replacements for the original C clasp and hinge. Metal was built up and reinforced when repair was made.

At the time it was made, it would have had a C clasp and elongated pin which extended beyond the brooch mount. Mount has patina consistent with age and use back has some tarnish. It is unmarked and unsigned.
