Antique Victorian Portrait Brooch Cameo Miniature Hand Paint Duchess Devonshire. We offer for sale this lovely antique Victorian hand painted miniature portrait / cameo brooch of Duchess of Devonshire Lady, Georgia Cavendish, in a gold gilded metal mount. It closes with a C Clasp. See photo with measuring grid and ruler for measurements. The artist has captured not only the likeness of the Duchess in the portrait, but also her spirit.

She seems to be suppressing a grin, holding back laughter with a sparkle in her eyes. The portrait resembles Thomas Gainsborough's portraits of Lady Georgia Cavendish, the Duchess of Devonshire. Both the painting and the brooch are in good vintage condition with very minor wear. A few very tiny surfaces scratches to painting seen in extreme close up.

NO cracks, chips to porcelain tiles. It is an estate piece. Mount has been hand polished.
