We are offering for sale this rare and lovely antique Victorian hand painted fish portrait ocean landscape scene brooch is painted on mother of pearl and set in a Vermeil (yellow gold plate over solid sterling silver) mounting, c. It is signed by A.
Wight a Minton, artist at the Minton factory in the 1880s. The painting is detailed, well done and in good vintage condition, no chips cracks or crazing.
It is a large brooch measures approximately 2 1/8" x 1 1/4" inches. It closes with a C clasp.The painted surface and back of the brooch are mother of pearl. It has been gently cleaned and hand polished and is ready to wear or gift wrap.
