Vintage Antique Victorian Shell Hand Carved Cameo, Unset Aurora Goddess, Chariot. Estate find of large oval hand carved shell cameo. The scene is of a goddess in a chariot. I believe it is Aurora, bringer of the dawn. The cameo is not mounted and is beautifully carved.

You can see horse's eye, outline of waves, design on chariot body and wheel and part of castle wall. Size: 2 1/2" long x 1 1/2" high (measured at midpoint).

Condition: no flaws detected (some lines on back of cameo which is probably a natural part of the shell), may need cleaning.
