




It is mounted in a silver plated brass metal mount. It was most likely a pendant when it was created. Pin, clasp and hinge appear to be later editions. Mounting has a twist rope around bezel. Portrait plaque is French Victorian in the classic Limoges style.
Painting is detailed, well done and in excellent vintage condition. Mount is in good vintage condition with minor wear- silver plate has minor wear on edges and minor patina. Measures approximately 7/8" long by 3/4" wide. Closes with post construction brooch hardware, added in late 1930's or early 1940's - pin, hinge & rollover safety clasp and hinge.
Pin length extends beyond mount, in the Victorian style. Hinge and clasp are post creation additions or replacements. It is in the style of the Victorian hand painted Limoges portraits.
