Antique Victorian Woman Hand Painted Portrait Pendant

Painted on leather or some sort of hide. The piece behind it feels a bit like shell or a thin veneer or some kind. Could be a Victorian revival piece from the 1920s, but I think it may date older just based on the material it's painted on. Please view all photos for condition as it's not perfect.
