Gypsy Portrait Swivel Brooch, Victorian Hand-Painted Portrait Locket Brooch

A Victorian gold-plated swivel locket brooch with Malachite highlights and a central miniature portrait of a Romany lady, hand-painted on ceramic. The portrait swivels with the other side having space for another portrait. The gold plate chemically tests for 14 Kt. This is a large brooch measuring about 2 9/16 inches high, by about 2 3/16 inches wide and about 1/2 inch thick. It is in very good condition, with only a couple tiny locations, on the back, where the gold plate has worn through to the base metal.

There is a chip to one of the Malachite pieces and some scratches and wear to the Malachite. The pin is base metal.
