Harrach Antique Victorian Passion Flower Art Glass Vase Hand Painted Sandy Frit

This unique hand painted art glass vase is decorated with a blooming vine of Passion Flowers. Pillow shaped form with flared crimped rim is b lown of custard coloured glass with a satin finish. There's a polished pontil on the underneath of the applied colourless glass footed base. Hand painted vibrant polychrome colours are mixed with a sandy frit overlay. This type of s and painting is called Marmotinto.

Last photo is of another example I had a few years ago with the same passion flower design. Polished pontil on the applied colourless satin glass footed base. The rim is 7-1/4" x 6" diameter, and the base is 6-1/2 diameter.
