STERLING TEA KETTLE & STAND c1890 NEW YORK. This is a fine and rare c1890 Ovington Bros. Sterling silver hand decorated tea kettle on matching stand, retaining the original, hallmarked burner. The firm opened their doors in New York if the mid 1800s.

Only later toward the end of the century did they offer a select silver line. Names changed to Ovingtons around 1920. This rare, c1890 hand decorated Ovington Bros.

Tea kettle on stand 10 inches. Tall and the total weight a ouch over 24 standard ounces. Hallmarked to kettle base and the original burner. The interior clean and appears little / never used.
