Pair Antique Hand Carved Architectural Carvings 18 Inches Tall Circa 1880s

Pair Antique Hand Carved Architectural Carvings 18 Inches Tall - Circa 1880s. Very Unique Architectural Salvage, circa 1880s. I bought these in the 1970s, covered in gesso and several layers of paint. I painstakingly stripped and refinished them, and brought them back to their original pine base, hand-carved.

Several parts were loose, so they were reglued, and have remained tight. They measure 16" tall x 11 1/4" wide x 1 1/2 thick.

They are built up in 3 layers to creat the thickness. One has a piece missing on the left lower corner, and a chip, as shown. These have darkened to a lovely patina over the years. Total weight is 1 pound 13 ounces, or 828 grams. The item "Pair Antique Hand Carved Architectural Carvings 18 Inches Tall Circa 1880s" is in sale since Saturday, February 23, 2019.
