Victorian 14K & Sterling Silver Enamel Hand Painted Cherub Brooch

Adorable hand painted enamel brooch. This brooch is crafted from 14K as well as sterling silver. It features natural seed pearls set through out. The center of this brooch features a hand painted cherub playing an instrument. It has been set behind glass with an etched silver frame. Surrounding the portrait is fine royal blue enamel which further accents the painting. The enamel is adorned with alternating silver bits and seed pearls individually framed and set. The outer most portion is additional seed pearls set in the same manner. The back of the pin features a straight pin with a rolling C clasp. I do suspect the rolling clasp is a replacement. The condition of the brooch is excellent there is a bit of fading on the portrait so please zoom in one the photographs. Measurements: Length: 1.75 inches Width: 1.5 inches Seed pearls range from 2.5 mm down to 1.75 mm each +/- Circa: mid 1800s Weight: 12.6 grams. Of course I honor this policy.
