VICTORIAN 19TH C HAND KNIT CAPE W ORNATE TASSEL TRIMMED TIES. DATING TO THE VICTORIAN 19TH CENTURY. THIS PIECE IS HAND KNIT AND FASHIONED OF RED WOOL WITH BLACK AND WHITE STITCHING. SCALLOPED ALL ALONG THE EDGES WITH FRINGE ALONG THE BOTTOM. RAISED BLACK DOT DETAILING ALL ACROSS THE WHITE STRIPE ON THE BOTTOM.

ORNATE UNUSUAL TASSEL TRIM ON THE BOTTOM OF THE TIES IN THE FRONT. THERE IS ONE SMALL BREAK IN THE RED BACK THAT IS HARD TO NOTE WITH A FINGERTIP HOLE ON ONE OF THE WHITE DOES ON THE BOTTOM REAR, IT IS ALL BUT UNSEEN AS IT IS BENEATH ONE OF THE RAISED DOTS.
