Victorian Carnelian Diamond Necklace c1870 Hand Carved Flower Rare Art Nouveau. This is a beautiful piece of Victorian hand carved carnelian and diamond jewelry. It has a central pendant of carnelian carved in the shape of a 5 petal flower with wonderful details and a central old diamond.

This hangs from a beautiful long gilt chain containing beautifully fully carved carnelian beads of varying sizes. The designs on the beads have floral and leaf motif. The color of the carnelian is just gorgeous!

The gilt chain has alternating small and large links with wonderful detailing on each link. The overall effect of the jewel is stunning. The hand carved carnelian flower and beads offset with the central diamond create a vivid and dramatic piece of jewelry. The long chain adds drama and style to this unique and rare piece! The workmanship on this piece is just lovely!

The necklace is in wonderful condition. The chain is 26 inches (66 cm) long.

The central pendant is almost 2 inches (46 mm) long and is 1 1/2 inches (38 mm) wide. Classic Victorian necklaces such as this are so difficult to find!
