A very nice Victorian fan with a painted 3 cartouche showing a man courting a woman in 1800's dress. Garlands of painted flowers and sewn brass steels on the leaf outline the single gauze panels in the design. The Mother of Pearl sticks are slightly pierced and inset with brass or gold? Leaf to highlight the design.

The 16 sticks are 7-1/4" long and the fan, when open, is 13-1/5" wide. The fan has Mother of Pearl washers on either side of the 10kt gold plated loop and a steel rivet.
