Vintage Original by Robert Hand-Painted Victorian Style Cameo Pendant/Brooch

This is a beautiful vintage 1940's signed Original By Robert Hand-Painted "Victorian Style" Portrait Cameo Pendant/Brooch I picked up at an estate sale. It is set under glass with an ornate laurel wreath gold tone brass setting.

It measures 1 5/8 inches long. Original by Robert were similar in style to the great Miriam Haskell. Made by hand, their jewelry was unique and expensive during their time.

The firm supplied jewelry to the motion picture industry. Including jewelry for the 1952 Oscar nominated Elia Kazan "Viva Zapata" featuring Marlon Brando and Jean Peters.

Most pieces are signed, though with varying trademarks. "Original by Robert" was used from 1942 to 1979.
